For anyone like me with a “pro” grille who mounted underneath the letters, I’ll try to take before and after photos of the camera using the bracket mount. I am quite curious which mounting spot is best. Gut says under letters may be best but can’t resist trying the bracket.

Does anyone have a screen image of the camera angle of view using the taco garage bracket?

Made my own mouth with a black piece of steel that I drilled a hole through works perfect. Nice and flush. Excellent angle

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking, I’ve got a thin length of 1” wide aluminium that I think would do just fine... did u have a pro grill or TRD?

I have the pro grill. Looking at the options given above I honestly think it was the best way to go. Just fits real easy. Thanks again for the help

Sometimes it’s nice to design/customise/fix/botch something yourself vs buy from someone else... makes your truck that little bit more personalised.

Mudguards, 3D tailgate lettering, step bumpers, MESO LED tail lights, front facing camera. Coming soon: LED headlights and SuperCharger.
I posted mine a page back. I tried to make my own mount of a strip of aluminum but the angle I got under the TOYOTA logo on the pro grille works perfectly for me.

Yeah, yours is clean and centered. I didn’t buy a garnish as I don’t have adaptive cruise and my camera is mounted off-center as there were clearance issues. My “pro” grill is a cheapo eBay knockoff. I’m curious to see how it might look with the mounting plate. Both in terms of how the camera looks and how the video feed looks.

Ah thanks! I actually had to grind some space off behind the grille to get the nut on the bolt. I do have the adaptive cruise control and I LOVE IT! If I hit cruise control I don't really have to mess with it. I suppose if I got too close without ACC, it'd probably brake but I don't want to "test" it out.

I love adaptive cruise, I have it on the 10 speed Odyssey, much better than cruise without it.

I have MT though so cruise control is kind of silly for that anyway.

I was a bit surprised at how much I had to open the hole to get my camera to sit right. A no drill option would have been nice. I was mildly tempted to buy the garnish even though I don’t need it to get the camera more centered but it seemed ridiculous and I kind of like the no-garnish look a little better.

I want to also add a camera to the back of my enclosed trailer and put in a switch that allows me to switch from front camera to trailer camera. Anyone done this? If so what switch did you use? Any thoughts would be aporeciated, well any useful thoughts. Thanks

I believe @Puppypunter is using a PAC video switcher from Amazon to do something similar for side cameras triggered by turn signals.

I thought I remembered seeing that the Germes kit has a rear input, has anyone played with that? Does it override the tailgate camera or can all 3 work together?

I am using (or more precisely, will be using. Haven't installed it yet). It has 4 camera inputs with independent triggers. So you could hook it up with SPST (just regular on/off switches) for rear, front, trailer, and still have one more for whatever you want. It can be made to work with ABC's camera switch as well, but depending on how you want it to operate, you might still need the additional switch. If it sounds like something that you might want, let me know and I can hopefully give you more details.

I just placed a pre order for the Entune 3 camera kit last week. I wonder if I will get a similar email or if the kit you ordered was just out of stock or something. Hopefully everyone is ok. It doesn’t seem like anyone has heard from @FreshMexicanTaco in a while.... :(
