I was just mentioning how if I were to browse TW before I bought one, I would have walked away feeling toyotas are garbage.... lol

I've yet to have a single issue with my 17, man... Take care of it and it will be fine... So many mall crawlers here, too... wanting their trucks to tow like a chevy 2500, save fuel like a prius and ride like a Bentley....

Also 2020 Pro owner, coming of of a '13 Sport. 3rd Gen forum is a dumpster fire, especially compared to 2nd Gen.
This truck is the best truck I've ever driven.

This. Nobody creates a thread because they don’t have problems with their truck. But when they do you’ll hear it and then any other bozo who has had that problem or thinks they have that problem will chime in. I’d say the vast majority of people in Tacoma’s are issue free for the most part.

Every vehicle forum has complaints about its topic vehicle. The place becomes an echo chamber of the common, usually minor problems pretty quickly. Go on any other vehicle forum and it’s the same or way worse. No vehicles perfect.

If you stop reading tacoma world, you would be less paranoid and enjoy your truck way more.

A lot of folks are extremely happy with their tacos, but of course you barely hear about it. Its human nature to complain about everything, especially when behind the screen. People who complain are a pretty small group of people, yet they are the loudest.

Most people are spoiled nowdays and want everything "perfect" because they spent "40k" on a truck. IMHO toyota/lexus is still the best brand to buy. I love my taco, its been rock solid and im not easy on her at times.

There is actually a shit ton of very useful info and ideas on this website, just ignore all those winers. I learned a lot about my truck and vehicles in general from some pretty smart folks over here.

I don't see them. I only click on a post if it interests me. Don't really care what people are complaining about. Not my problem.

The seats in my truck smell like a wet fart after only one year of ownership. I hate it. The dealer wont do a thing about it even though I bought the extended warranty. This is not what a $35,000 truck should smell like. What a scam.

Awesome, where do I get one of those at? I didn't know you could just buy one... How much are they? Do they come in all the various humors? Dark? Observational? Bodily? Wit? Topical? Physical? Can I get a combo pack? How much for all of them? Discounts? Group buy? Should I want for Cyber Monday? Damnit! Now I have all these questions!

I have found if you research any vehicle long enough, you'll eventually see why it sucks. I try to look for the common problems, and every manufacturer/model has them. But even so there's still no guarantee that you'll have those issues.

Example: The current F150's dash warps if you don't get the leather package and the 5.0L motor consumes oil after 2018. The RAM has a major issue in that it belongs to FCA who really loves quality *sarcasm*. Let's not even start with GM.

So far I've noticed a couple of things with my Tacoma, but nothing is classify as a problem, but more just quirks of the truck, such as brake pad slap and that it doesn't like stop and go traffic (but that could be the driver too).
