They keep on insisting that's how hoods are painted... so far bad experience with the claims department. I figured if I paid $1000+ for a painted hood it would be completely painted not this half ass job!

Hi everyone, there is something I'd like to clarify. The underside not being "fully painted" is in between the cracks as we can all see. We see those parts missed by painters and dealerships all the time as they are hard to paint without running and gets cover by the engine cover. Underneath the hood doesn't get cleared as they don’t get cleared even with your original hood from what we've seen. Unless, all the sudden they do get painted/cleared, please send some photos of your original hood and we'll be happy to discuss how to move forward with the next group buy. Thanks!

Thank you for this information. Please go ahead and send some more photos of where we were missing paint on your current hood and I will forward it to my manager.

    A few.
Just wanted to revive this thread to ask, anyone who purchased one of these hoods, now that you had it for 6 months or so, how is it holding up and would u purchase again?

Also, if Im looking correctly it looks like they are currently selling for $1048.00 shipped which would be slightly above the first group buy price?

    Hi Friend!

We've had customers purchase this hood from August 2019 and no one has filed a claim for peeling or anything yet.
We have a lifetime warranty on the paint job so you have nothing to worry about.
Check out our website and google reviews!

Lastly, the $1,048 is just the hood without the scoop. The complete hood is $1,368.00. Let me know if you have any other questions.
You can get a faster answer by emailing or chatting with us directly.
Email: sales@revemoto.com or go to our website: www.revemoto.com to chat with us. ^_^

    Thanks!

Have you guys updated your paint process to cover more and also clear the underside?

    Hi there!

I've had customers request the underside get cleared coated as well and upon examining the physical part in person, it looks like it may have originally came as two pieces, painted and cleared completely and then "welded" together.

Or because it was machine painted - it's a little easier?
But in general, getting in between those cracks and crevices are difficult and time consuming that ultimately wouldn't be perfect, but it could still come out nice. So we can get close to the finish you want, but just realize the information above is why we can't provide a perfectly painted and cleared underside.

It'll be an additional $150 for the time, labor and material to paint it. I have a customer that is getting it done and he also found us on TacomaWorld. I explained this to him and he decided to purchase the additional service.

He can tell you how satisfied he is with it when the time comes.
    :fingerscrossed:

Hi there! Nope, we're not gonna be doing group buys for awhile.
Maybe not even at all anymore.

Unfortunately, someone ruined it for us. But the part is still available on our website. Visit us at: www.revemoto.com - thanks!

Looking at your current price, $100 increase in the last 2 months? Now $1470 for complete hood?

    Hey there!

I know that increase looks a bit much, but realistically, we haven't increased our costs in many years. It's gotten to the point where as we are growing, we have to take a harder look at the numbers while still maintaining high quality. But yes, the price you see is already painted, with a lifetime warranty on the paint job, shipped to your door. From previous quotes we've seen, body shops are charging easily $2k for this conversion. So we still try to save some costs with these fun little upgrades. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks!

    Far to much money spent.
Just ordered mine I am hoping it’s fully
Painted and cleared on both sides like the factory is.
