2016 Truck Cap quality questions

Hi Everyone,

There are so many options out there and I keep reading about quality issues from older posts. I have a 2016 Tacoma double cab and need a new cap. I like the features of the ARE CX Evolve and need windoors on the front and side.

Talk me out of it and direct me to a better product.

Get a Leer or a different model of ARE. My CX Evolve has a lot of quality control issues and quite a few leaks that I have to get fixed

 

Check out RLD campers, that’s what I’m saving up for

 

Love my snugtop rebel. No leaks and functions perfect. Can get windoors as an option..

Excellent quality with good choices and options.

 

The difference between the main players is splitting hairs. Just buy what you want.... The only deciding factor should be the local dealer you buy it from. Which ever one isn't trying to screw you over and will take care of you is the one you want.

 

I just put money down on the ARE Z. Liked the looks of the rear window and the hinges the best. I thought Leer 100XQ was nicer looking from the side with the solid pop out windows. I really don't need windows that open, but unfortunately that's not an option with ARE. Five weeks to go and I can post a picture and hopefully unload my Undercover tonneau cover by then.

 

After I bought my ARE-CX, I found out about RLD. If I had known about it earlier, I would have gone with the RLD.
