Hi everyone, my name is Eric and I have to wait until the end of August for my TRD Pro 6 speed. I'm not even sure I deserve it!

I was a Jeep guy for a while and built 5 of them (only one was built up "seriously" for crawling). I was looking for a new vehicle, something different. I called my friend who works at the Toyota place here and asked him if I could check out a Tacoma. I had originally intended on the Sport but he showed me a TRD Pro that someone had ordered and was to take delivery of that afternoon. Well, I loved it. I sat in it and immediately got that good feeling that I remember from a '91 Celica I had (and drove across the country (NY-LA) three times)). I had no intention of spending the money on a Pro, but - WOW - I LOVE IT. And, now, I have to wait for mine to come in. I feel young again, impatient like a child waiting for their presents on a holiday or birthday.

Turns out, when I was in the dealership, that a client had ordered a Pro in the green with the air thingy on the side but, upon double checking the order, it was learned that the truck wasn't ordered with the intake for some reason. The client really wants the air intake and made the dealership order another one with the intake. The one without is set to arrive end of August and I asked him to put my name on it (I learned quickly that if I really wanted that Pro with the 6 speed I had better reserve it).

Anyhow, I don't expect anyone to care too much but I thought I'd say hi :)

This seems like a great community and I look forward to learning new things and hopefully being useful here to the group.

    You deserve it.

It will be here soon. But, stay away from TW unless you want to build the Taco also.

There's a strong MT contingent here. Hit us up with any questions, if you dare.
