Lol nope lots of resin and lots of cloth. And it still wont give it good structural integrity. I agree a boat shop might be able to fix it. But may cost a pretty penny.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

Did a pretty good job on mine. Been through some tight brush, had a lot of pin stripes... they look much better now. Definately need to wax after the polish compound

Unfortunately by hand. Was going to buy a buffer, but they seem to be a bit hard to find right now. O'reillys doesn't have one within 100 miles of me and Napa was out of stock too... Haven't had time to go searching for one.

Went to Clovis today... Good news! The schrader valve was loose and the hose on the top of the resi was a bit loose too. Tightened up. No need to rebuild. Held charge all the way home and is not leaking.

@foxrcing07 is there any way I can bug you for a little bit of Nitrogen? Ole' boy at the shop really helped me out. He stopped what he was doing and did my shock for me on the spot. He was limping around in a walking cast... He came back and told me what he found, and that he charged it to 150 and it seemed to be holding good... didn't have the heart to be that guy to tell him I actually need it at 200 pounds.

Maybe all these store will be in stock on a damn Chinese buffer by then... lol

I didn't even see you posted that... lol

I figured that was probably it. But I also wanted someone to give it a good once over to see if there was anything else wrong, so I could send it to Fox if needed. They already sent me a shipping lable in case I needed it.

I was pretty sure from that pick you posted it was just a loose resi hose fitting. If the shock is blown you loose all the nitrogen and it pretty much fully collapses. If your leaking out the resi you just loose a tiny bit of fluid and the shock still works fine. I'm surprised the shrader valve was leaking. Did he check pressure in the shock before he topped it off?

The top plate on the resi (where the hose attaches) did collapse in about an inch. But that was after the nitrogen was completely gone and the shock would compress with about 50 pounds of force. The amount of oil that leaked was less than about a teaspoon. It dribbled down the resi, but not enough for it to actually collect enough to drip off.

I saw him back there where he filled it, waited, went back and checked pressure and then filled it again. Not sure what exactly he did, but it was the owner of the shop, seemed like he definately knew what he was doing.

He said lately he's been seeing a lot of schraders from Fox loose from the factory.

@theesotericone not sure what his definition of "a lot" of schraders loose from the factory. But in my opinion one loose schrader on a $400 shock is too many... lmao.

This reinforces why I really actually wanted to go with ADS... but according to them I would still be waiting another 3 weeks for the rear shocks. They were telling me it would be 8 weeks for the shocks I needed.

I agree that any loose fittings is unacceptable. There should be thread locker on the schrader from the factory. Fox, ADS and King are all top end shocks. I will most likely go with Fox on my wife's 4Runner soon.

I've beat the shit out of my Kings and the shraders are still leak free. The resi connection loosened up on Fordye last year. My rear driver shock rotated and the resi fitting was hitting my rear link bolt when I stuffed. I caught it about 1/2 way into the trail. A quick turn of the wrench and all was well again.

I bought a shock pressure gauge a couple months back, so if that is needed, let me know.

    Why Fox instead of King?
I’m on Kings up front with ADSs waiting to go on in the rear. Plan was 12” Kings out back but got the ADSs for a good enough deal to put the 12” Kings on the back burner.

@foxrcing07 has a fill guage and nitro.

Now that I'll be running a full set of big boy shocks, I really need to get myself set up with a guage and a tank too. Morgan is a good brotha... but if I'm going to be needing the stuff, I need to buy it.

But I'm hoping I can steal a puff of nitro this weekend so I can finish this thing lol.

You remember my whole bent King 7/8" coilover shaft episode from the Dusy 2 years ago? The one that King insisted was my fault even though there was zero damage to the LCA or coil bucket? The one King refused to even look at much less warranty? That's why. #fuckking
