So I work at an all boys boarding school in Virginia called Woodberry Forest. Being a boarding school we have to be on duty at night, usually covering study hall and then checking the kids in before lights out. Tonight was a little different.

Each night before a football game the school cheerleaders, yes male cheerleaders, hold a pep rally with a series of cheers. Tomorrow the football team plays Episcopal high school. It is one of the longest standing high school rivalries in the country and tomorrow marks the 110th consecutive game between the two teams. I am one of the coaches so as you can imagine I am pretty fire up myself. What makes this pep rally unique is that we hold a huge bonfire...and I mean huge. Check it out. It was literally raining embers and the smell of kerosene permeated the air. What a great tradition.

and to make the weekend even sweeter we won our game yesterday 29-17 and earned the #1 ranking for private high schools in the state.
