1995.5 Tacomas only - how many are still out there

definitely removed. I looked at every possible place for another VIN to make sure they were matching and NOTHING. They've all been removed.

 

May I suggest starting a new thread? This has gone way off topic.

Not to be an alarmist, but this sounds like an issue that needs a seriously deep dive. My first thought is that this may be a stolen vehicle.

Here's my recently purchased 1995.5 Tacoma SR5 Xcab. Built in 02/95. V6, 4wd (ADD), flip up sunroof, power windows, power locks, OEM alarm w/ keyless entry, NON-WORKING digital clock, and NON-WORKING cruise control. 180k miles.

It was missing the carpet when I purchased it, so I found an OEM carpet kit in excellent condition at a local junkyard. Overall, it's seems to be a great truck. No rust issues.

 

Very nice survivor! 02/95 one of the earliest builds too. Love the seats. Congrats on the new truck!

I had a '92 Toyota Pickup and considered doing a 3.4 swap. After researching it, I decided to sell it and get a Tacoma. I wanted to stick to the 95.5 to 97 years, since they still remind me of the Pickup.

First Tacoma was a grey 95.5. 4x4, MT with power windows. It had 225K miles when I sold it.

Later I saw a white 95.5 SR5 for sale. Also 4x4 with MT. I couldn't pass it up, so I bought it and eventually sold the grey one. This has 287K miles on the body and the engine was replaced. Engine has 187K miles on it.

 

Any info on on 95.5 trucks, so I can update the count

 

The white one has a build date of 07/95. I don't have a picture of the complete VIN sticker of the grey one, but I think the build was 08/95.

 

I’ve got one. I’ve owned it for about a year now. It’s got a 3.4, auto, and 4wd. I’m about to repair a couple spots in the frame and fix up the interior, but it’s still in good shape overall. Despite its issues, it acts like it wants to keep living so I’m doing all I can afford to keep it going.

Darn it - should my truck count now? She is sitting INOP waiting for parts. While all parts are available via Toyota Poland, the waiting time is significant. Last week I ordered upper and lower radiator hose (the upper one developed a pinhole squirting coolant at AC belt), and when I checked today, they told me ETA is mid October . I really hope not.

 

Y'all didn't get 4 runners? Last I checked my v6 4 runner and taco uses the same rad hoses

 

that’s crazy.. have you tried online? I order my parts from Mcgeorge Toyota they generally have everything and ship fast.
