What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I installed OEM Roof rack. I wasn't really looking for one but a friend was trading in his 2019 and they would give him the same with or without it, so I gave him $150 for it...I feel like it was a good deal. my Taco doesn't get driven much. 2013 with only 32K.

 

New Drive side wheel bearing. Installed a whole new hub assembly from TRQ. We will see how it holds up. Old one failed rapidly. Fine to nearly seized in just a couple weeks.

 

Got the new alpha Rex headlights installed on the truck this last week
Looks awesome and has dtrls built in not like others that don’t

 

Scored a Rigid Radiance light for my front bumper. Facebook Marketplace has some good finds. $200. Brand new!

 

Curious what you plan on putting in there? I have this low pro 10'' with built in amp I received as a birthday present but it looks a tad bit tight to get under the seat... :/ was thinking passenger side

 

Who makes this beautiful rear HC bumper?

 

First wash in maybe a year... poor girl

 

General maintenance:
Oil and filter change, topped off all the fluids, swept it out, Oder-x bombed the interior, pressure washed the floor mats, wash, clay bar, wax, rain-x all the windows, new wiper blades, and cleaned the interior dash and glass.
Never clay barred anything before so this was eye opening. I have never had a black vehicle that looked this good. Too bad being black it will last a total of 12 min being this clean.

 

Yeah I was looking at the kbvoodoo ones but they’re pretty expensive for what they are... especially after shipping. I figure I can cut some aluminum flat bar myself to accomplish the exact same thing for less than $50.

 

I found some trails.

 

Put on my new grill... but instead of wiring it to running light I wired them up to my fog lights. Because I use my fog lights as dtrl.

 

Got my aux power panel installed and fired up. Replaced the battery terminal clamps while I was at it. Now for the accessories. Hidden light bar installed, Bed lights in transit and now to decide on some ditch lights. Rigid seems to be the best quality for the price. Any inexpensive suggestions out there? Baja's are too rich for my blood.

 

Spent a little time out with the touch up paint. There was a tiny ding by the gas filler I wanted to address before anything started, and along the driver's side door sill - apparently the previous owner was very lazy with getting in and/or out and had worn the paint away. I also took a step on the de-chroming path and popped out the grill emblem to plasi-dip. I'll get some pics of that tomorrow after it dries overnight and gets re-installed.

 

Well I got my mirrors put on so I can see behind me when I’ve got my camper on.

Installed dobisons snorkel from the group buy and helped buddy install 5100 on his truck to get rid of his spacer lift

 

Accidentally posted this in the 3rd gen thread first ha.

Finally got around to my rear diff breather today (finished right as the sun went down, actually!), and it was simple enough.

Going to have the rear diff flushed and all this week to make sure I didn't knock any nasty bits in it, but my question is do I have enough slack for travel? In the pic it's the line I have my hand on. I'm holding it up a little, it's not taut at all.

Also, didn't have enough hose to stub out behind my tail light like I wanted so I'm behind the fuel flap under my gas cap now!
