Open all of the windows when you are on the highway. It gets rid of most of it.

Recorded local wind shear is factored into new construction.

It depends on how each area enforces the building code. It is at their discretion. With that, tall roofs factor in the same way as a second story. It is all based on projected area.

Usually, places with larger lot sizes will see less multi-story houses.

So I gave my notice and we'll see what happens next.

My boss is asking our VP if I can work from Montana throughout my transition because I told her they had the option of only letting me work through the week and letting me go or giving me the next 2 weeks off for our move and then I could work from Montana afterwards. She'd like to see me work at least through the end of August or even September if she can make it happen. I don't think I'm all that special.

I certainly don't care to continue working but I won't turn down extra paychecks and my health insurance for us. Would be stupid not to :notsure:

The National bldg. code is not up to local codes compliance discretion with the exception of an individual States accepted amendments.
    AND
High hazard areas as determined by NOAH, USGS, ACofE all falling under the NBC are not open to interpretation or discretion by local codes enforcement.
Local codes compliance requiring an Architectural Engineer approval before plan review is the not so new norm.
