    Hi all,

I'm looking for a long bed for sure, but I'm torn between the AC and the DC. I will be using it for off road truck camping, so no rock crawling (but there's always that mysterious fork in the road...). I don't have kids but I have a dog, so either way I would do a seat delete to make room for storage/fridge/dog platform. I am also leaning toward a LEER 122 topper, which means I can't put a box up top or anything, so the extra space and easy access of a DC would be good. The AC is cheaper and I like the looks of it better though...

    Questions:
In the 3rd Gens, is it as easy as some of the other years to do a seat delete?
Can a 60lb dog fit in an AC?
Does an ACLB drive better than a DCLB?
Does the DCLB have a better resale value?

Any thoughts would be much appreciated! Thank you

Don't know about a 60 lb. dog in a access cab, but i have at least that amount of weight in gear and junk in mine. I've had extra cabs since the mid 80's...just don't like the looks of those double doors with either the 5' or 6' beds.
As far as value i asked a couple dealer the same question. They both told me neither would be worth anymore or less depending on mileage and condition, but they said the double cabs would be easier to resell.

I've had a 2006 and now a 2017 access cabs and my 100 pound German Shepherd likes it just fine. I did make a plywood platform that sets on the seats so pooch has a level place to lay or hang his head out of the back slider window. Never could bring myself to like a four door pickup. Looks like an SUV with half the roof hacked off. My wife already has an SUV so we don't need half of another one.
