Hey guys, it looks like the panel is friction fit, but I can't seem to get the sunglasses holder out of the overhead console. I pulled the console down to see how to take it out, but fidgeting with it has only made the plastic white from flexing. I'd prefer not to just cut it incase I want to get it back to stock eventually. Looks like you would have to pop out the holder but it seems there are plastic "rivets" holding it down and I dont want to break those.

I don't think they are friction fit. I cut up my overhead console with a dremel and then ran two self tappers to secure the switch panel in the sunglass spot. I also used the sun glass holder toward at the rear of the console because I have a rearview mirror riser and didn't want the switch panel to block the mirror.

I can snap a pic in a few and post up.

I found the original meso switch panel thread and saw how people installed theirs. I ended up cutting one rod off the sunglasses holder and pressing the panel in. It was REALLY tight fit, so I'll let it be for now, but I saw some people use screws like you said. I think I might go with machine screws and bolts so it can be easily removed multiple times without ruining the plastic. I'd still like to see your pics though, the more I see the better ideas I get.

Awesome, yea I had to improvise a bit since I used the rear sunglass holder location. That's also where the securing bolt holds the console to the roof....so mine is only held up by the tabs at the front, and the clip it seats into. Haven't had a problem yet lol

Yeah I've seen some people leave out the middle switch to get a screwdriver in there, I haven't figured out how I want to go about it.
