Does anyone know how to fix the rev limiter dump with a tuner or how to delete it?? I’ve got a 2016 Trd off-road and when your in first or second gear in the mud pinned and it hits the rev limiter then brings your rpms down instantly to about 2500. How can I fix this

Short press turns off traction control.

Long press at a stop turns off traction control and stability control.

It is the normal mode traction control that is likely the culprit. Easy fix.

Not necessarily, need detail of 4-High or 4-Low. Only 4-High has traction control throttle intervention. In 4-Low, because the engine revs so fast compared to have fast the transmission can shift, you can trigger the rev limiter feature in the ECU. If you hit the rev limiter too hard and for too long, it cuts power.

In just 2 wheel drive when you hit the rev too long it cuts power so when I’m throwing shities in your moms yard I can’t throw mud all over the house

It’s separate of the traction control system.

Well, if he’s knocking down to 2500rpm perhaps TCS /is/ his issue, but on mine, with the long press at a dead stop to truly shut things off, it doesn’t allow the truck to bang against the rev limiter for more than a second, and it cuts throttle and drops to 4500rpm. Fully letting off the throttle and re-applying gets it going again

I believe OVtune was actually happy with this on the m/ts, as it allowed him to increase the rev limit with less risk of damage

I've noticed this happening in 4-HI with all traction control disabled (long press). I was pulling out a truck stuck in some deep sand and my truck would bog down, possibly even before hitting the rev limiter. Only way to get it going again was to let off the throttle completely and start over.

Something similar to this video (starts at 6:25). This guy was in 4-LO, so the traction nannies should have already been disabled.
