Shocks too long or bumpstops too short?

that makes 0 sense. to "bump it properly" is basically saying i want to trade 1 inch of up travel for down. AND risks under hard enought hits letting the shock take a compression hit. you want all travel to stop before the shock fully compresses. if you want to trade up travel for down and move the window well thats on the owner but it seems like a wast of money when you can just do the normal thing and use the shock rated for a +2 spring

Agree. Running the Superbumps was one of the best upgrades for my suspension. The OE bumps offer no "give".

 

Not tk break off on a tangent but how do you like the super bump setup? I have normally had all my customer go to a king or a fox bump stop and been thinking of telling a few guy about them. But I dont have any experience with them. Any issues? Do they fill with water and debris?

 

I've got ~25k miles on the Superbumps (F&R). I haven't experienced any issues or water/debris in them. I think the choice comes down to how hard and fast you want to drive through the rough stuff. Superbumps are a great upgrade from stock and will handle most low-medium hits. If you are carrying a lot of weight and running the rough stuff, at speed, get the hydraulic stops from Fox, King, Icon, etc.

Sent @ARCHIVE an email. He confirmed the ubolt flip with super bumps is about an inch taller than the factory bump which is exactly what I was looking for. They’ve got their own bumps too which also work with this setup. He Also confirmed this kit will work with the compressed length of the Fox 118 shocks which is 15.2”. So I’m going with the archive garage ubolt flip And superbumps.

Yeah, just upgrade your bump stops so they hit a little sooner than what you have. As those shocks are a little long there. Either rock the taller Timbren to help or go with our superbumps and a 1/4" spacer. As our bumpstops will compress down to stock bump stop height with hard hits. Either of these options will definitely help and get you away from bottoming out your nice shocks.

I’m having the same problem with my fox

$282 985-24-117 Reservoir Shock CD Adjuster

985-24-117 for 2-3” lift. I have just under 2.5” lift. Mine bottom with the stock bumps just shy of touching. Waiting on wheelers u-bolt flip with super bumps and 3/8” spacer to arrive. Hope it’s the fix

I have your rear flip kit and stops and some Fox 2.0 extended travel shocks waiting for me to stop procrastinating the install. Do those two pair up well?

Finally got the setup in the mail today. Had enough time to throw it on. It’s a considerable difference between the size of the stocks and the size of the archive garage ubolt flip with super bumps. I’m not much of a photographer but here ya go.

I also did a quick flex test. The bumpstop was squished before I was even getting close to bottoming out the shock. This setup should work really well

 

Looking good! I too just put my bumps on couple weeks ago. Makes a world of difference when hauling my heavy atv on rough terrain. I’ve since removed the 3/8” spacer from under the bumps seen in the pic. Did U have to use a spacer? I measured my shock travel and it’s the same as measuring from the bottom of the bump stop to where it hits if I measure past the small bump on the shock shaft. The spacer was too much I think.
