So Roof Rack stayed in place. All went smoothly and glass looks fantastic! But the best outcome was while the glass was out, I stood through the windshield opening trying to find the source of the annoying defrost vent area rattle. I cut two pieces of 3/4” clear tubing and wedged into the open cavity at the front of the dash, normally inaccessible with glass in place - below the dash lip and just above the metal body:

and the rattle is silent!!! Gone!!!
    Cab is quiet!!!
    It’s wonderful!!!

Ripped off all four mudflaps. Scratches all down both sides 6112’s up front on 3rd notch 5100’s in back with Toytech 1” block Skids & sliders from SOS Concepts I got rid of the 1” block and put on Wheelers 1 1/2” progressive AAL. SPC UCA. Be sure your standing on the drivers side when reading the instructions! I swapped sides so many times that I can swap UCA’s in 15 minutes. I put in the 3/4” spacer to eliminate the Taco Lean, and just got my 4th alignment. Traded the OEM rims for 17” Sport rims and a bora bora 1” spacer. I got my Firestone 285/70/17 MT2’s. Pelfreybilt gas tank skid and hi-lift jack should be here Friday. Looking at bumpers, but I think they will wait for next year. So far I’m happy with my build. I’ve done it all myself, leading to a lot of cussing and frustration, but it’s all mine.
I found out that my alignment guy was back at belle tire and had my camber fixed and steering wheel centered in 10 minutes. Luv that kid! I took the bill to the shop that could only get the alignment “within specs” and they ponied up the $90.00.
    Good times in Kokomo

Hmm, how far of a drive is that from Loveland? Might be worth it whenever I finally get this new steering rack installed... lol.

I still suggest having Doug at TireDiscounters on Wooster in Mariemont do it. He doesn’t work Wednesdays

I've had trouble finding a shop willing to do mine, the way it should be setup and NOT just "to spec". Well, trouble finding a shop that isn't too expensive, at least.
Found one that has at least used SPC uppers, wants $160 for a one time alignment :boom:

Not even the "off road Heep shop" does their own alignments

That was my current plan whenever the truck is done.

I’ve got SPC uppers and will have the upper ball joint set where I want them and the lowers will be maxed for caster. The camber may not be perfect set like that but I should be able to eyeball center on the uppers enough that I’ll want all tweaks made using only the lowers. And I’ll be targeting +3.5° or more caster when I’m done, well outside of “factory spec”.

The last three times I’ve let TD do it the guy will get my camber and toe set pretty well but he can’t seem to understand that I want higher caster...

I always print the specs I want it aligned to and give with the keys. Then they put “Align to Owner Specs” and ignore the computer database for make and model.

    Man, shits piling up.

Details, work, school. Basically, the only way I'll be able to come this year is if I become independently wealthy and the Covid shuts the country down for real this time.
