    edit: No longer for sale.

tl;dr: Solid shift lever rather than 2 piece OEM shift lever. Reduces play in the shifter. $60 shipped.

Our OEM shift levers are two pieces injected with rubber to help isolate the transmission and minimize transmission noise in the cabin. Over time that rubber breaks down leading to a sloppy shifter. This was my fix, that I am now selling.

My reason for selling is because in 6th gear I have a slight whine that gets transmitted into the cabin, just due to the age of my truck (207,000 miles). This isn't going to happen in most trucks. Think of this as a budget Hurst shift lever.

My process while making it. I reused the OEM threads off my old shifter, so any shift knob designed for a Tacoma will fit on here. This shifter pairs very nicely with a URD short shifter kit.

Not that easy to find wrenches forged in the USA these days.

For the low price of $60 you can own one!

I have a toolbox full of them, given to me by my father in law.

Shouldn't the wrench be metric to fit correctly?

    Asking for a friend.

    Cool idea, though.

3/4” is almost exactly 19mm but without the communism.

Item is no longer for sale. My new assembly arrived and it didn’t have the base like I thought, so it’s not worth selling this. I’ll just hold onto it as a backup or something.

In case anyone is wondering how to swap the levers it’s very easy. Just push down and turn with some needle nose.

I'd be interested in the lever by itself......let me know what you're thinking for a price.

I was originally asking $60 shipped which is what I'd still want if I were to sell just the lever.
