Hey guys. Something I’m curious about since buying my 12 Tacoma when I shift to drive the truck kinda jumps. Not slam into gear or clunk but almost like the trucks “ready to go” lol. I’ve read several people had this issue with their tacos. Any input

I’d call it normal, happens more when the engine is cool, and from a first start.
Mine does this when it’s cold, but I have also had it do it warm.
If it get in, start it, and immediately and quickly put it in gear, it will do this too.

I don’t think you have anything to worry about.

My 08 with 155k does this as well. Last weekend however I did a drain and fill on the transmission and it is now noticeably less pronounced!

What do you expect. especially when cold, rpms in Park or Neutral are much greater than in gear.
