They're offering me $500 less than I paid for it 3 years ago. Can this really be a thing???

If you really dont want the truck you can look at like this. You basically leased it for 3 years and your going to get that sweet equity back. Kidda like driving a truck for 3 years for 500 bucks. Nice

If it's the real deal@7.5k more than I paid I probably would take it myself but then I would need to buy a 2021. Cant live without my taco

Damn, just plugged in my fully loaded 2020 OR w/3k miles ($45k MSRP, paid $39k) they offered me $36093, I'd take that $38k on a 2019 Sport and run.

No way in hell you paid $29k new for that truck if its 4wd, MSRP would have been $41-42k, used I could see.

Sold a Ford Fusion for my retired parents. It was immaculate. (9K miles 1 year old eco boost) They offered 2K over our highest bid. Evert hing was smooth except we had to call them for the difference in payoff and what they offered. Once we did this check was received within three days. Even though the contract stated this we still had to call.

Gotcha, makes sense, just clarifying, insane your 2017 with 30k more miles is worth more than my 2020 with a higher MSRP and less miles I just quoted, guess your market is in need of Tacomas.

Just for S&Gs, I plugged my 2020 Pro into the Carvana site (not by VIN or plate). MSRP $49k, Carvana offer $42k. Guess I’m keeping ‘er

Same, was like huh with all these 17's getting offers of $36-38k what my loaded 2020 w/3k miles would be, only $36k, paid $39k for it, I'll keep her, I love her too much anyways, must be based on local market, don't see the logic in why an older, less optioned higher mileage Tacoma would be worth simliar/more than an almost new one.

I assume their algorithm factors in the demand in your area? Carvana is showing me $33k for a truck I paid $38k in 2017, $5k of sunk cost for three years of use isn't bad. Also the MSRP of Tacomas has increased so folks are paying more than we did in 2017.

Car market here is insane. All the used cars and all the lots got wiped out in hurricane Michael. Area is still recovering. I drove 6 hours to pick up my truck when I bought it

Ahhh makes sense. I don't know man I'd be super tempted to sell for a $7k profit and have a mini vacation to pick up a new or cheaper used one in another market, put some money in your pocket.

Had that too, but Carvana also low-balled me when I was selling my '13. Offered me $14k, I sold it for $20k private.

I never trade my car in at the dealership. I will always make more from private sale. My 2010 I sold the guy came from outta town and brought me a fat sack of cash. It was sweet

Plugged mine in to check, I got offered 35.6k. 2020 SR5 DCSB 4x4 w/ tech 1569 miles. I owe 26.7k This is the central Texas area. I kind of regret not getting a TRD OR for the crawl control and smart key entry. Hmm, I would have to drive my Japanese van as my daily to work if I decided sell. As for OP, sell that TRD sport and run.

I believe you always appreciate and take better care of something you have worked for than something that has been given to you.
