    My 2004 is a 5 spee
    This is my little 5 speed 2jz. If you turbo up you have to go with an automatic or adapt a Nissan CD0009 because the factory 5-speed's just not strong enough for the added HP.
    But it drives like a go-cart!!!!!!!!IMG_9303.jpg

    Sooooo I hooked up Torque app to my Tacoma replacement, a Subaru Legacy, and found that the cvt runs at 262-264F on 80 mph highway cruising. Took it to dealer, who talked to Subaru engineers, who said that's normal, and not to worry unless AT light comes on. So it looks like I'm going to be dumping it before my extended warranty ends at 100k. I bought at 45.5k and currently at 88.5k.

    Does it have a trans cooler? That seems hot

    Edit: It seems like it should have one that is fluid cooled by the engine coolant. What is your engine coolant temp reading?

    Coolant stays at 194-198, engine oil gets up to 225, cvt fluid to 264.
