    Some maintenance before tomorrow’s trip:

Cleaned and oiled the air filter (it’s dirty here still)

    Oil change

A bit of touch up paint on some pretty worn areas

    new Blistein B110 Shocks
    49A845EB-D753-4800-BD97-82BF4D6C9D7A.jpg

The shocks were a PITA to install. In a rush me from years ago didn’t put anti-seize on the top bolt, and it decided to fuse to the shaft. The 5mm Allen key was stripped in a few good tries, and vice grips were no match for nature’s loctite. So it was a good excuse to buy a sawzaw to cut the top nut off.

I also learned to not buy sawzaw blades at harbor freight, as the metal ones went dull after about 20 seconds of use. So I had to make a trip to Ace and bought some Ace brand and Milwaukee brand blades. The Ace brand held up just fine and I was able to cut the 2 nuts off. Oh and installing these shocks would be impossible without jacking the rear of the truck up.

Diablo demon blades were a god send when I cut my lcas out! But they cost a pretty penny...about 10 bucks a blade.

I've been so busy with Squareone Creations, my real job, and life that I haven't had time to update this thread!

So back in July, we made our annual trip out to Assateague Island but this time for my Birthday. It was a ton of fun as always!

Last time I was able to get out I went to AOAA with the NE Toyota Overland gang. Nice enough folks, but the trails we did were basically fire roads. Did make some new friends to wheel harder trails when they're in town next. Also I ran into @Chux randomly!

I also learned that the greens at Rausch are the Blues at AOAA.

Did some stuff today on the truck.

decided to gloss clear the Grill

Also, after an incident during my bachelor party weekend I decided to make something - a Wing nut that attaches to my swingout.

    D6DE43DE-EEED-4665-8389-F2FB056A0497.jpg

(Shout out to @EatSleepTacos for sending me the OG one that I used until I had this idea)

so basically I took a larger wing nut that extended past the stud on the bumper, cut a bolt down and used some wire to make sure it never happens again.

I still need to order a @Mobtown Offroad spring pin! I’ll do that now before I forget again haha

Oh, and the truck came in handy last weekend for my friends wedding! Had to go offroad to an undisclosed location for epic photos

And the short bed is just long enough for wedding decorations
