Need an extra key and remotes for 2005 Tacoma

Hi I just bought an older but good 05 Tacoma Prerunner. The guy only has one key and a remote starter remote. Is this key chipped, can a locksmith just make me a copy? Or does it need to be programmed. I have a hacked Techstream so I can do stuff with the car but not really sure of the process. I see the remotes for sale cheap on eBay but the key is more what I am worried about. Thank you in advance!
