I’ve had a couple instances when making an outgoing call where I cannot hear the receiver’s voice. I’ve also noticed that the turn by turn directions on Apple Maps are not audible when this happens. The issue does not correct itself until the truck is turned off and on again. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, were you able to fix it and how?

I have not had that happen with calls. Hopefully it stays that way. As for Apple Maps, I don't ever use the voice for it since I have an Apple Watch and it vibrates to notify me about turns coming up so I don't know if this would be an issue for me or not. Good luck and I hope you can get it sorted out.

Thanks for the reply. I've had similar with my work truck CarPlay (GMC) but I think that has to do with the touch screen panel itself thinking it is being pushed.

I use both Maps and Hands Free calling on a 2020 OR and have not had any issues up to now. The only beef I have with CarPlay is it not having a wireless option.

I’ve had same issue regarding calls, sucks have to pull over and turn off/ on. Doesn’t happen that much. My wife just got 2020 Rav / JBL Prem package and she has had same issues . I’m sure Toyota hasn’t gotten all bugs worked out. Wouldn’t be surprised if we have an update soon.

My wife has a 2020 Rav4 as well but has not had those issues.

Mine is not JBL/Premium fwiw. Maybe it is a phone issue. I am running an Iphone Xr.

Don’t think it’s a phone issue - I have iPhone 11 Pro and she has 11 iPhone . Same problem in both vehicles and different phones. Who knows, I’m sure it’s a Toyota issue . Doesn’t happen enough for me to make issue .

I have the exact same issue in my 2020 taco. Rather than turning the ignition off/on, I’ve been able to hold the stereo power button for a few seconds until it restarts and this corrects the issue, until the next time. Still searching for the cause.

These things are hit and miss, I own 2 of them. 1 works sometimes and the other works every time but for about 10 minutes and stops. Their support is terrible. I actually got a return authorization and never sent them back because it was going to be almost as much as 1 unit to send them both back to China.

Sorry to hear that. I have used mine on multiple drives that were multiple hours long with no issue whatsoever. Have you updated the firmware on yours?

    Working on it...
Having the same problem with my 2020 JBL and new iPhone, tried the old phone with the same issue. Seems like yet another situation where Toyota dropped the ball, as shutting off and restarting the truck is the only solution thus far.

yes, they are up to date, I have an email folder dedicated to these guys, it's crazy and I finally gave up. 1 sits in the glove box in my Tacoma and the other in the junk drawer in the kitchen.
