Hi! I am thinking about purchasing a 2015 Tacoma PreRunner SR5 Access Cab 4 Cyl and I am wondering if you guys think I am getting a decent price.

Private seller California - Original owner, 15000 miles, like new condition (couldn't find a single imperfection), always serviced at local Toyota dealer. Also comes with cab-hi Snugtop with roof rack.

    $22000.

    Good or bad deal?

    That’s market value for sure.

My 2013 with same description and 47k miles was valued at $23.3k when it was totaled in 2017, for reference. Mine was a double cab, you don’t mention cab size on your truck.

    Never enough
Honestly seems a bit high to me for a 4cyl prerunner, but if its immaculate and has ridiculously low miles it may be spot on

California market values are not your average market values.

My truck with 3x the mileage got me $29,990 with an OME lift and a Snugtop shell when it was totaled. The guy who bought it, repaired with a salvage title, paid $21k for it.

Okay so I am getting the impression that this is sort of a neutral deal? It's not the best and it's not the worst?

I've been looking for a while and the used Tacoma market in California is something else. I liked that the seller is a reliable "non sketchy" person.

However, I am struggling with the fact that it is a 5 year old car - even though it is in pristine condition and has a super low mileage.

How much did this model cost new out the door with taxes (10%) in 2015? Around $30000 right?
