Depending on your skills, it'll probably be a better project if you do it yourself.

 

I'm buying a house soon, and it doesn't have a garage, but we will be building one as soon as possible. unfortunately with permits and everything it could take a long time, so I'm thinking about building a storage shed myself in the meantime.

I'll have to take a look at these! its an interesting idea, though I could probably build a small one just for storage for a lot cheaper. but it may be worth getting a large one put on the property as a more permanent option.

down the road we wanted the garage to have an attached guest suite... so I'll have weigh my options here, hadn't considered something like this.

 

My father-in-law got one for his wife as a she shed. Really nice. He just had to get her stuff out of his work shop. You know the saying “happy wife, happy life”.

speaking of good deals, I always view it as not “how much I spent” but “how much I saved”. Picked this Baldor up today, feel bad I practically stole it, drove an hour this afternoon to go pick it up. Lights on both wheels under the shield and the wheels practically new. overall very good shape plus came with the beefy stand.


I’ll add it to my prior collection.

Because they are. There's "discount" Arcteryx ads all over Facebook that are the exact same waiting to part fools from their money.

 

the makita also Has a feature specifically for loosening too. Once it stops feeling resistance it slows down to a stop so you don’t zip it off crazy fast/potentially loose the nut.

 

Can anyone point me toward a good grease gun that doesn’t leak? I’d like a quality unit nothing from harbor freight I’ve already had one of there’s. Thanks guys.

I’ve only used Lincoln grease guns and haven’t had issue with them.

 

This Lincoln has been my go to hand pump one for years.

Also have the Milwaukee M12 grease gun. The Lock-n-lube coupler is a great addition too.

Also what grease are you using? Some greases separate (mobil 1 is known for this) so i tmight appear to be the gun but its actually the grease

Here are some pics of a tool chest I built years ago...

I'd always wanted and needed a large tool chest, but just couldn't justify the spending the money for one. Being an engineer & CAD guy for an aluminum fabricator, I scored a stack of 1/8" aluminum panels that had mild oxidation and were going to be scrapped. I designed the largest tool chest that could be made with the sized panels and this is the result.

It's got 17 drawers and the lid raises up for access to a space at the top. There's a little over 15 cubic feet of storage. There's a hidden button under the front top rail, that releases a foot pedal. Step on the foot pedal and the lid raises on gas shocks. All the drawers and the lid lock using one key. The design uses t-slot extrusion welded into the vertical frame members. The idea is that should my storage needs change, I can swap out drawers for deeper or shallower ones as needed.

 

Those guys look legit, but looks like they only serve New England... I'm literally as far away as you can get from them, in Southern California... lol
