I’m a moron with electronics. How are you running the 3-way toggle into the cab? I tried prying the wires off the switch but I’m concerned I’m gonna snap the prongs with my meat paw hands.

Use a pair of needle nose pliers and pull from the base of the female spade so the wires don't rip out. Be sure to take your time, you might have to slightly move the spade left and right to get it loose.

I figured as much. Thank you for the conformation.

They were put to good use this weekend.

TRD exhaust, TRD air filter, TRD OR/Sport grille, BD Squadron Sport combos/fog, Morimoto 2Stroke Hi/low, Baja Suspension Kit with TRD PRO leaf springs and Icon aal, HPS intake w/ Intake Flow Accelerator.
Quick question, which will perform better squadron sae or sports in wide cornering. I have sport combos on my taco. But for my wife's 4runner want best for bad weather. Thanks.

It just depends on what you're looking for and where you plan to use the lights. The Squadron SAE was designed to be SAE compliant so it can used on the highway when poor conditions are presented. It provides 2480 lumens each and has a cut off that displays a smooth transition to prevent blinding light to oncoming traffic. This light is recommended to someone who wants to upgrade their factory fog lights and still be able to use them on the road safely. But if you're looking to upgrade your factory lights to auxiliary lighting for off-road use, the Squadron Sport will be brighter in intensity and overall beam spread. Both lights have their specific applications, but a street legal light will be constrained to SAE guidelines. Let me know if you have any questions on either product. :)

    I say this as a huge BD fan I own a 20” and 40” onx6 Hi-power, 4x squadron pros, 4x LP9 pros, 2x squadron sports, 2x S1s, 2x S2 pros and 2x XL80s.

Do yourself a big favor and go read the SAE fog pod and fog light thread, the stock toyota fogs actually outperform the SAE squadrons. I have 2 sets of diode dynamics SS3 pros, they’re the best street legal lighting out there. For offroad lighting baja Designs is all I own but there’s way better and cheaper options for street legal lightning. I’m sure DD will have a 15-20% Labor Day sale too.

Hey All. I just purchased the Baja Designs Rock Light Kit with Wiring Harness and while the wiring harness is cool and all.... holy shit the little quick connects that go to the actual Light Pods is a b*tch to snap in. I got so fed up after messing with it I think I'm just going to splice them, solder, seal it and use shrink wrap on it.

Any guidance before I go that route? I was able to get the pins set no problem. Its when you have to push them into that quick connect they just don't click or stay in place.

It's a really small connector that can be a little tricky. I made a quick write up that goes over each step. I hope this helps!

Alright. I was able to get all that in with your advice. Now my next problem. I wired it all up and as soon as I flip the switch I blow the 15A fuse. Now I’m pretty sure I wired them in the correct way. Theoretically, if I wired one reverse, would it cause the fuse to short out or would just that light not work? I will admit, I ran the harness down the passenger side along the window and i put the ground on a bolt there by the hood hinge. I then ran an extension wire from the positive line all the way to the battery since it didn't reach. I doubt an improper ground would blow a fuse. So my guess is i either cut a wire somewhere or i wired up some of the rock lights in reverse which i highly doubt.

If one was wired reverse, it would blow the fuse because it's grounding out the circuit. Does the fuse blow when all four lights are unplugged? If not, we can do a process of elimination by plugging each light in to see where the disconnect is.
