I've scoured the forums, read every possible thread, and can't quite find the answer I'm searching for.

I have a 2018 Tacoma 4x4 SR (Not SR5) with the stock steel wheels. From what i can find they are 16x7 with 30mm offset.

I have a Eibach Pro Truck Lift Kit and Icon RXT leaf springs that's giving me about 2 inches of lift.

I just ordered Camburg ball joint UCA's to get some added caster and dial in the alignment but it sounds like I may be waiting a while to see them.

I'd like to add 33 inch tires in the 255 flavor to help avoid rubbing issues.

I'm trying to figure out if I need new wheels to make this happen. Camburg website says 4.75 maximum backspacing so I believe that eliminates the steel wheels I have now.

I've read contradicting articles on calculating backspacing though.

I have a lead on some inexpensive SR5 alloy wheels that have a +25 offset. These would save me money over the next option. Will those work?

If not, I like the Level 8 MK6 wheels in either the 16x8 or 17x8 0 offset size. Those will clear the Camburg UCA's for sure with 4.5 backspacing. Tires *may* rub though.

Any thoughts? Anyone running a similar setup? Do Camburg UCA's have more clearance towards the tire than the stock UCA's?

Seems like you have done your research. This is more of a Camburg UCA question and unfortunately I don't know the answer.

One more idea on wheels. If you need more clearance than the +25 wheels provide, but don't want to spend the cash for aftermarket wheels, consider stepping up to 17s and grabbing some 4runner takeoff wheels from craigslist. They are +15 offset and in my area you can find them all day long for $250 a set sometimes cheaper. With 17" wheels your 255 options would be St Maxx, Wildpeak, KM2.

    Just another option to consider.

Love this idea and it opens up a whole new set of rims to consider. I'm searching right now!
