I have been eyeballing them, but don't trust that area that they bolt too with a good snatch/yank

It's where its designed to be towed from, ideally from both on a y tug. A real keener would weld it.

I've never done huge running tugs from the front anyway. Usually hitch to hitch.

I've been eyeballing the Mobtown front hitch. It spans the load across the entire front. Just my personal opinion. I did some research when I first bought my Tacoma and didn't find much. But looking at that area, probably be fine for a tow, but nothing more. I have read that the points up front are tie down locations and nothing mor .

In the past, I had to yank my buddys 1st gen SR5 out of a deep mud hole using his factory front tow hook and the receiver hitch on my (then) Cherokee XJ with a regular tow strap. It worked and didn't break anything so I would think that something like these with a proper snatch strap would be fine.

I was hoping there might be some TW folks that may have some real world experience mounting and using them.

I'm tagging along. I'm a 2wd so hopefully I will never need it. I saw a video on YouTube about them but it was more of a install video on a 3ed gen.
