It should but you’ll need different clamps. I’ve seen a 1st gen topper on a second gen.

Any tips on cleaning and restoring color to a black softopper? Softopper says to use Bestop cleaning kit (but softopper just got bought by Bestop soooo.....)

My topper is just looking rather faded.

Looking to shine it up or actually give it a good detailing?

Mines in pretty good condition, so I use normal car soap and 303.

If you want to give it a good detail the best bestop kit is probably a good buy. Bestop and softopper use the same material.

I mean its probably time for a good detailing. I bought it used from another member. Then shine afterwards. Which 303 do you use?

    Did not know this. Interesting

I also used regular car wash detergent and 303 on mine with good results while I had a softopper.

Any one get the soft topper screen rear hatch? Like it/ hate it/ regret it?
I’m considering it as a I’ll mainly for bed camping in Texas/ the surrounding southwest. Would the mesh help with the heat? Or is it not worth it?

You'll probably get a load of dust in your bed if you drive off road. Mine has the regular back and it really cakes up on there. It's bad enough that I hose the back of my truck down before I unpack after my off road trips.

I purchased the screen window when I ordered the ST. I have yet to use it, but I have a reason for it in the future, so when I reach that point of needing it, I have it.

Thought of doing that, too, but maybe for regular road use and not off roading/camping.

I’ve actually “sealed” off the edges of the bed (on the bed door) and also duct taped around the outlet and storage bin. That helped a TON, barely got dirt/sand in and I’ve gone off roading/camping quite a bit.

plus, my bed system has helped keep the little that does get in under and not over the bed system thingy.

do it! seal it off a bit.

    edit.
Used this and came out well.

Will this rack line up with a Victory 4x4 roof rack? Also will I be able to run an iKamper Skycamp 2.0 RTT on the bed rack?

For those with STs, how do you deal with the security issue (or lack thereof) that you normallly wouldn’t have with a lockable cap or tonneau? I like to keep all my fishing gear in the truck bed cause it usually gross, but i don’t need some of my expensive rods walking away.

Security is non existent. Best bet is getting the tinted rear window or the solid rear flap. Your only security is that its not as easy to peak in an open bed vs peaking in the rear window.

Believe it or not I love my ST despite what im saying.

I have a plywood bed platform (two pieces with a steam in the middle) and a single piece of carpet covering the top. Just looking in it looks empty, even if I have things under the platform. Of course if someone wanted to get under to see if something is there they could.

I park behind a fence at work and in a garage at home. The longest I'm parked other places would be at a trailhead, depending on the location I occasionally empty out the contents and remove the platform to show it's empty.

I have a plywood/carpet bed platform And power locking tailgate from ktjo4x4. Keeps things pretty secure. At least as or even more secure as a hard shell.
