anyone know if theres a way to either hack, or incorperate the ability to cast video from your phone to you stereo screen. main purpose is for work breaks or when im idling would be nice to watch an episode or movie while im chilling. so on. was thinking of tapping into the software this week to take a look at the operating system to see if i can overwrite it with something else or tweak it.

Depends on what your setup is. I dont know anything about trying to program a stereo, but my kenwood has an app called "weblink" so I can play off of youtube or other apps on my screen. To play whatever you want, maybe connect the backup camera input to something that can stream from your phone? I'm sure with all the wireless streaming we have nowadays somebody makes a receiver like that, then adapt it to AV and trick the stereo to think you're in reverse like the anytime camera mod. It'd certainly be an interesting experiment.
Edit: I suppose depending on what kind of phone you have you could have a wired connection. For example since I'm on android I could use a usb type c to hdmi then hdmi to AV adapter. And this is all assuming you have an audio port, but most aftermarket stereos do.
