Yeah, me too with the badging ... that’s why I did my tailgate to mimic the pro setup, not copy. (Red TRD badge and black V6)

All good, that's just a TRD badge, no pro broser there, sorry if you felt I was coming after you specifically lol.

No worries .... I didn’t feel attacked (I have had that happen by others before though). I’ve said many times that I’d have bought the Pro if it came in a longbed but that isn’t an option so I did what I feel is the next best thing ... a Pro inspired longbed OR.

What if someone made "PRO TRD" Headlights? I think that would actually be kinda cool. A "Professional TRD" instead of a TRD PRO? What do you think?

I really like the "Pro inspired" idea.
Which is why people created these:

I saw a Tundra Pro with the Tacoma Pro door emblems, I didn't see what the emblems said so they could have been the aftermarket Bro emblems.

Who would mod to their truck to pass it off as a Pro? The vast majority on here mod their trucks to be way more capable than a Pro. I view the Pro as the truck for the guys who want to stay stock, seems odd to have that be your mod goal.

To each his own I suppose.

No but there are few vehicles I can think of with such a narrow performance gap between them considering the price difference between the Pro and the Off Road. One thing I see a lot of is people rebadging SR5s and even TRD Sports as TRD Off Roads which they will never be with only limited slip diffs or no terrain select mode. I chose the TRD OR because of its un pretentiousness. No extra 4x4 badges, no fake ram air scoops, just old school off road goodness. Around here the Sport is overpriced, if you shop a little you can get an OR for the same money or less. Honestly for a sub $28k (in a normal model year end haggle) truck the base 4x4 SR extended cab is a tremendous value and beautiful vehicle, especially if you can get one with the SX blackout wheels and fender flares that dealers sometimes have added. I almost bought one as my wife is only 5'2" and 115lbs and can sit quite comfortably across the jumpseats with a pillow behind her against the door, with my boy up front. I went with the OR DC because I wanted it but I'm a hunter and I've gotten out of a lot of trouble with a 2WD truck just by using good OR tires and keeping a couple of 2x6's with skateboard tape on them behind the seat.

If you're Willie Mays Hayes, a VW Beetle with a RR hood swap makes sense tho.
