Wow!! This is what the internet is supposed to be for. I talked my boss into a new chair for my desk at work in May. That helped, but my back still hurt. Ponied up for a new chair at my home office, better, not fixed.

FWIW I am 50+ with all kinds of interesting MRI findings. My neurosurgeon (three office appiontments, no knife yet) told me to not come back until I was popping five percocet daily. My recliner chair at the home theater is comfortable. I finally narrowed my current problem down to the seat in my Tacoma. I internet searched "tacoma back pain" and got to this thread from page one of my results, PayPal'd the 30 whatever dollars, and I just now a week later have the product installed in my truck. I have only driven it around two blocks in a figure 8 pattern, but I am ecstatic.

FWIW I dewcided to just buy the one inch spacers and get the bolts with. Now if I need to add a washer, or take the spacer out and make a stack (3/8" ID fender washers) just under an inch, well I have the bolts without having to find graded metric bolts in a remote province away from well stocked hardware stores.

Thank all y'all. It is quite amazing what these little guys do. I think someone smarter than me said it changes the seat position 16 degrees of pitch. I drive mine 3hrs. one way twice a week and it sure helped me. Y'all stay safe.

Maybe silly question but is there a torque spec for the bolts or is “tight as hell” ok?
