what. why. Because vine lasted so long? It’s a fad. Spiking now it’ll die out in a year or two. I don’t see a future in tiktok personally. But, hey I’m happy to be proven wrong.

 

Why? Because I have call options in SNAP. If TikTok gets banned SNAP goes up. Haven't you been following along? lol

It's working out so far. I've had a 1000 shares for 3 weeks at a cost basis of $30.74. I've been writing 10 weekly covered calls at $32 or $33 depending on where WTI is on Monday. That's been netting an average of $550 a week. As long as WTI stays range bound between $39 and $41 it's a winning strategy.

 

The current generation thrives on narcissism (speaking generally) — what can ‘we do together’ because ‘I’ am posting this. It also extends beyond social movements, though. The thought of independence spikes much younger than the last several decades and whether or not it’s valid is yet to be determined. I believe SNAP to be the start of the quick look-at-me beyond ‘traditional’ social media because you can use selfies as a means to integrate a response, essentially capturing the literal environmental circumstances of an individual.

An individual can respond to several others while pooping with different faces + text, continuing the conversation as in person. Other platforms lack the instantaneous gratification of presenting yourself altruistically AND assuming similar recipient environments.

A ‘Chinese owned app’ means nothing to young users who never suffered the throes off potential communist rule or the war on socialism. The dangers of leaked personal information does not matter to someone who does not understand the implications. The happiness of gaining viewers and responses beats out the joy of security and mental well-being.

The app may or may not continue making waves, but know that social apps will most definitely follow the new model. I doubt this app will die off in the short term, based on social data and the outwardly expressed desire for belonging of younger generations.

I was in them years ago and made money in like 2016 going from $2 to $4...if I had held ALLLLLL this time it would be at $5.50...
They could actually MAKE earnings estimates...

Yep. Most likely. I'd like to say I'm smart and purchased my MSFT Aug $215 calls as a hedge against my SNAP calls. I'm not and I didn't. It just happens to be a coincidence. I'll take it though.

Anyone still with the cruise lines? They're all tanked today. Saw a headline that there were 2 cruise ships with the 'rona once they decided to start sailing again. That can't be good.

CNBC's bottom 3 are NCLH, CCL, and RCL right now bad day for cruise lines I guess.

I might cut half my shares, take the lumps now. Maybe leave ~100$ or so in there and consider that a loss and be fine if it ends up at zero.

 

They release earnings tomorrow after the bell. That should help you out a bit.
