I'm not big on the whole widebody/fender flare trend, but in this case, I can take it. That thing's awesome! Having driven a 720, I can see the need for more track width...

Have you got a link to the build?

Bought new 84 720 KC 2wd gas owner, here. Edit: Red. Fire Engine red. Factory option white wagon wheels. Turned down torsion bars. 245/60/14 Firestone ss on the rear and 235/60/14 on the front. 85 Chevrolet Cavalier Z24 front bumper. Honda CRX seats. Rear cab window removed with rubber seal to a white high rise cap with dark tinted windows. Bought the truck on Wednesday night then Friday by 11:00am I watched a Dude plunge cut a hole into the center of my roof for pop-up/removable glass. Nicest one I’ve ever seen. I was very lucky..... and my new pride and joy. 9A4EA759-8242-4523-8104-BCE2F983BE71.jpg

Roadstershop has been a big part of the Hot Rod and Car Craft Rags over the last few years
and offer installation of the Big SB 4 A Ford hybrid engine that uses a Chevy LS block w/ double
overhead cam ford heads. One set of valves run off a gear drive. Amazing motor designed for Marine
use but has been adapted by Roadstershop for Use in older Muscle cars. This motor is way stout.
Check it out on their website. www.roadstershop.com

I tried for a long time back in the 90's to find a decent 73 74 Buick La Sabre 455

I had an early '70s Buick 455 for a short time, when I was young and stupid. It was installed in a 1981 Pontiac GP...a car that weighed about 1000lbs less than the car the engine came out of. Those engines weren't much on RPMs, but they made a metric-ton of torque, just off idle. The GP had crazy highway gears in the rear end (2.29 or 2.56:1, IIRC), no posi, and skinny little 14" tires. LOL, standing on it from a 30 MPH roll would turn the right rear tire into smoke and goo, as the trans would drop back to first, break loose, scream through 2nd to the top of third...speedometer's off the end, and I'm slowing down.

Ever seen one of those long black (single) patches of rubber on a rural road, that seem to go on for a mile? I was that kid. The spider gears weren't long "leaving the building".

yes I do remember seeing black marks like that around here even, You sure got around.

Big blocks are all about torque. It is what gets you moving.

My '68 is stuck at the shop. Nearly completed after a 2-plus year restoration, but the project has ground to a halt because the chrome shop had to close for Covid-19. My bumpers are in limbo. Not complaining about the need for the shutdown, but the timing is killing me.

Hang in there, you will appreciate and love the car even more after everything you have to go through.

It might seem kind of odd to some people that restorations are dependent on those
vendors elected to do the work for you. And that serves well to those who can afford to do so.

In my case with the 87 Monte Carlo I did all the work myself. And I mean 99% of the work.
The only parts installed not of my hands were the tires on the wheels. Everything else ,Engine, transmission,
All drive components, Brakes, Master cyl, Cooling system, interior, Paint, Body work, Electrical, Lighting all was done right in my driveway.

I'm not a pro, But doing it myself made for a more special bond with that vehicle. And it was fun to do.
