I stopped by the dealer the other day to pick up some 0w-20 full synthetic for my 09 reg. cab. which I paid $6.08 a quart. And when I left I drove around the rear of the dealership and counted 11 new Tacoma frames on pallets with a bunch empty pallets stacked up. I was shocked to say the least

Toyota's 0w-20 full synthetic gets great write ups on bobistheoilguy.com. It is highly reccomended and my 09 2.7 gets its best mileage with it. The best part is at Glens Falls Toyota it costs me $6.08 a quart.

Yes the dealer here next to me has two bays dedicated to just frame replacements for the last couple of years...besides all the ones they've done for the frame recall I think they buy wholesale, replace the frames then sell them a high retail.

They have a bunch of new framed 01-04 tacomas mysteriously on their used lot.
There is always a few on CL too.

Before that, their back lot was filled with the ones they bought back, all to be sent to the crusher.

Why? In 12 years, I wouldn't mind having to sell my '10 back to Toyota and spend another 5k on a new truck like I just did when they bought my '99. Sounds like a damn good investment for me.
