    I just replaced the spacers between my leaf springs.
    l laid out the old ones for the photo. The right side as the front of the vehicke, with the top bein the driver's side and the bottom being the passenger side.

    There was absolutely nothing left of the rear most drivers side spacer, and the front two on the passenger side only had the little nibs that go into a slot on the spring, to keep them in place. The actual spacers themselves were completely wor away.

    What was left in the others was pretty thin compared to the new ones.

    I will trust the word of someone who works on the for a living... So your good. :) When you mention rear diff, I did have a question earlier about when to know if the fluid needs to be changed. I sometimes hear what sounds like a groan when I make sharp turns. Noise is relatively new, about as old as the clonking noise.

    Before I took possession of the truck from my dads estate, my aunt had driven it from Utah to California, fully loaded. I think it was overloaded. Going over Donner Pass, my aunt said the truck was really struggling. The second or third drive around town after getting to California, truck was parked on an incline and when it was put into reverse there was a loud bang and grinding noise. If I remember right, 1st or 3rd detonated. Couldn’t get into reverse easily. Very hard shifts going forward (had to rev really high, don’t think it went into all the gears). Trans was replaced with a refurb from Toyota. I got the truck two weeks later.

    Finally wasn’t melting standing outside.
    Did a little more work on the track toe gauge...
    Little here and there.
    As long as it’s ready for September...

    The line gets a little blurry sometimes. But we're an accepting bunch around here....for the most part.

    And actually....Rob's rig is tame compared to some of our frequents.

    Indeed it is.....and a pretty one at that.

    @Spuds

    At the end of the day....just not being an asshole is usually all that's required to gain entry here....though an eyebrow or 2 might get raised if it's a brodozer. :laugh:
