Did you even click the link?

"The New Brownsville Covered Bridge is the focal point of a beautiful circular pond in the award-winning Mill Race Park, created by the legendary landscape designer Michael Van Valkenburgh. The hundred-foot bridge is the only long-truss structure in Indiana and it can transport you all the way back to 1840, when it was built to cross the East Fork of the Whitewater River near Brownsville. The bridge is also a stop on The Indiana Covered Bridge Loop – you can connect with this fascinating chapter in American history."

Of course I clicked on the link. Ive been over that bridge well over 50-60 times.

The OP was spreading love for historic covered bridges in Indiana. Not gaudy eyesores like the columbus bridge.

    Good Day.

Yes, The covered bridge loop is nice.
The columbus( Robert Stewart) bridge is horrible.

This bridge is actually in the book that I use to find bridges. So i'll be there soon. Looks like it's in a park, will I be able to get the truck up to it for a picture?

Thanks! There's 91 historic covered bridges here in Indiana. It's a good time killer and it's a great way to see and get to know the state.

Do dumbasses there think it’s cool to do burnouts in the covered bridges like they do here in ohio? I have a couple in my area and they are always full of burnout marks.

Must be an Ohio thing, I haven't seen any burnout marks. But there is a ton of graffiti inside the bridges here.

Thanks for sharing! As much as I sometimes complain about the lack of things to do outdoors in Indiana, there ARE some really interesting things if you know where to look. Some of these bridges are in places you almost feel like you’ve gone back in time 150 years!

The night shot of the Vermont Bridge is really cool! Those lights make it look like an evening wedding was going on. My grandparents lived in Bridgeton, Indiana when I was little. The original covered bridge there burned-down from arson in 2005, but they’ve built a nice re-creation. It’s my favorite(that I’ve been to) for sentimental reasons.

Graffiti on historic places chaps my ass even worse. I visited some historic houses last year in TN and in one of the houses rooms, a whole wall was entirely covered in people names, dates, messages and other bs. I just don’t understand why today’s humans think it’s cool and that they have the right to ruin everything?

Awesome pics, thanks for sharing. Will have to check these out this year for sure.

I had no idea there were any in Gibson County. I grew up in Pike, live in Dubois.
