Got back from another trip this weekend... Again.... the drive line was tagged and im rocking my fillings loose on the road..... The first time, I bought an entire assembly from Autozone... bolted right up... but it was $900 and needed it bad.

This time, the truck is still road worthy(ish) and want to get the original rear shaft fixed... It would be nice to have both repaired to have spares since... this is my life now, i guess...

Don't know who the Don is, but I'm dropping off my factory drive line at Drive Line Services in San Leandro... They have good reviews and the guy on the phone seemed knowledgeable and confident he could cut out the tube section, re-weld and re-balance. Says he is SWAMPED.... probably wont have it ready for a few days :fingerscrossed:

    Thanks @Taco-Obsessed

Yes, I’ve used Driveline Services Of San Leandro when I did my 4x4 conversion. They do good work with a quick turnaround.

those guys are awesome. Highly recommend them to anyone who needs driveline work. They're very dry and abrupt but know their stuff.

Dry, abrupt, matter-of-fact and low-key insulting ("man, you hit EVERY rock on the trail, didn't you?) is exactly how i knew i was at the right location.

All new u joints, Center bearing, replaced the damaged shaft section on the long tube, re-welded, greased and rebalanced as a unit $312 out the door.

Beats 900+ any day! Really happy so far. We will see if she vibes.... don’t think she will and let’s be real, it won’t be long before the next one....

time to send the one in my truck now, for repair :annoyed:
