Hey, just bought my second Tacoma last year and have done some cool light mods. I’m really gunning for some rear light pods. Found some through Cali raised and they have brackets that bolt inside the rear tailgate and sit outside just above the break lights. I have the cargo light switch in the cab and wanted to know if anyone knows if I can possibly tie into that circuit through some plug and play action. I know there are models that have bed lights that mount just inside the tail gate, I would assume those would run off the cargo light switch but I can’t find anything on this. Running a line all the way up to the battery is an option but obviously less desirable. Let me know thanks

When I bought my 2020, the dealership was supposed to install bed lights for me. Well, they had to order them, then when I went to pick up my new truck, the completely forgot to work them into the deal lol. Soooo they just mailed them to me when they came in. Behind each taillight was a capped plug. I just had to pull off the cap and plug in a short harness then run them to where the bed lights went. And it works off of the cargo light switch. You should be in good shape, there's only one capped plug per side so you can't miss it.

    2020 is plug and play.

    2019 isn't.

Your absolutely right, pulled off the tail light yesterday w/some disappointment.

guess it’s back to hardwiring all the way up front.
