Recently purchased a 2007 Toyota Tacoma prerunner V6. Noticed a squeaking noise when I turn on the AC (even when AC is off but not as loud and only once in a while). Also a sort of rattling noise coming from the vent to the right of the radio, while the AC is on. Anybody else have this issue or any advice how to diagnose?

Squeaking noise might be a worn serpentine belt.

    Or a pulley bearing.

Any way to check if it is the bearing?

Listen to each with a mechanic's stethoscope.

Or remove the belt and feel each bearing by hand.

Or start the engine with the belt off and see if it stops making noise.
