    You do not need to remove the bumper....you can disconnect the plastic plug in the wheel wheel and the bolt above the tire to separate the bumper and the plastic lining and then just pull the bumper a little bit to get to the bolt on the outer corner of the headlight. However, it is very hard to remove the trim piece directly under the headlight and above the bumper. I tried to do it gently but I broke the tabs on both. Taking the bumper off might help getting that trim piece off, not sure.
