I replaced my spark plugs last night at 60,000 miles. I purchased the truck new in 2017 with the prepaid dealer maintenance up to 50k miles. 2 of the spark plugs seem to have been a little loose, causing this to happen to the coils. The other 4 coils were clean. Should I complain to the dealer or no big deal? Thanks in advance.

Looks like you'll need a special l-o-o-o-o-n-g socket!
I was shocked when I saw him pull out that last plug. I had no idea.

There's no harm done and it would be painful for me to listen to the dealer pretending they care. I'd clean off the coil to make myself feel better and take consolation in knowing they're now done right.

I guess if the coils can be easily can be pulled out (easily?) you could just pull each one back and check to see if it's clean and shiny without ever touching the plugs?

On the right side, sure. On the left side with the work involved, you might was well pull the plugs also to have a peek and throw a dap of antisieze on them.

    Yup lol

I enjoy watching his vids for some reason. Very methodical, and the accent makes things kinda quirky.

His humor is as dry as a popcorn fart. ;)

Yeah, since you've done all the work on the driver's side bank to allow the coils to come out.. might as well pull em.

Do you have a pic of your plugs to see if they were running hot, electrode used up... etc. They're a consumable item so I'm just curious what they look like after x-miles without misfires; especially with a few of them loose.

Look up @Hank Heel 's loose plug post. He had a bad one.

The other loose ones that I saw looked just fine. Similar to the rest other than a discolored insulator.

Spot on! I was a bit on the high side, esp with antiseize, being used to other plug torques. These plugs have long reach threads, so there is a lot of meat in the heads.

I started with the driver side to get the harder side over with first. I had to loosen the 2 air intake brackets and work my way around the hoses and wires. If you have a long enough socket extension, about 18", for the spark plugs, it's not too difficult. It took me just over 3 hours to complete all 6 spark plugs with taking my time.

Edit: I didnt remove the air intake brackets. I only removed the top bolt from each bracket and then loosened the bottom bolt so I could swing the bracket out of my way when need be.

These are the 2 that were loose at 60,283 miles. I can take better photos if you want.
