I had same issue with my AVICSYNC 8200 so I used a couple extra washers when mounting to make it even. I’m guessing it’s like that with factory unit as well, but with my OCD I could not leave it uneven. Lol

    1. What model phone are you running? If you are running an iphone 10 or below, you can downgrade the iOS to 13.6 and jailbreak with Checkrain (Cydia fully functional). If you are running a iphone 11, you will need to be on iOS 13.5.0/.1 and Jailbreak using UnC0ver. iOS 14 support for Checkrain is just started, so it has limited compatibility at the moment.
    2. Once you have run the jailbreak successfully and rebooted, Cydia will be installed. Update all sources and run the Cydia updates to get it current.
    3. Ensure the repo is added for Carbridge: https://repo.chariz.com/
    5. Refresh your sources, and search for Carbidge Lite.
    6. Follow the links to pay for the app. Once paid, follow the links to link your phone. Refresh your sources again and download the program.

Not sure what’s up then. Try to reboot your phone. I did today and didn’t have any issues on the way home.

Anyone go with the MRR2 over the MRR? I was thinking it might be possible to feed those 3 aux outputs to a switchpros 9100 and have a fully programmable on the phone setup where you can change the triggers without having to mess with anything in the fuse box?

So I am one of those guys that was having the random restart issue. I followed the instructions to wire the red acc wire straight from the deck to the where it comes off of the oem harness. I have not seen any restarts since. However 2 days ago the screen flashed black with white words very quickly and then back to the carplay. Yesterday on my drive home the screen went black with white words say something along the lines of ( This function is not operational because of Maestro being ...) Cant remember. I pushed an OK button or home button, something, not sure and it went back to carplay. It was basically a message saying Maestro was not working or communicating. Anyone else experience this? I believe it is the Maestro still resetting, but the deck does not reset with it because of jumpering around the maestro harness to the oem acc. @Markdizle Have you experienced this? I believe you are the one that helped us with this based off of someone on Redit? Was around July 2nd.

I ended up with the MRR2 through my own mistake when ordering but I have had zero issues with restarting or anything really. It has been perfect so far for me.

IMHO, I would always do firmware updates using a USB stick, not Wifi. I just dont think it is reliable for something as critical and a corrupt firmware update usually means you have an expensive door stop at the end.

I ordered up last night, finally gave in to give etune the boot.

Is there a maestro specific thread? I did some searching but didn't see anything super obvious. Or any specific tricks? Seems like we're all pretty much forced to mount it behind the screen to connect it up unless we had an extender harness, so that does make it a little bit nicer to have the ability to change config wirelessly via the phone vs having to remove things and connect it up to a PC, right?

I'm assuming the 2 most difficult parts of this setup are the maestro config and the flush mounting aspect?

Maestro is just behind the screen in that open area with the wiring harness. Flashing the Maestro is straight forward and super easy just follow the instructions it comes with and input the required information as you go through the wizard on your computer. The flush mounting is the most difficult part but only because it takes time to get it right and not because it is hard.
