Did Taco Garage Die

So... ordered some sequential turn signals and the driver side doesn't work. I've been trying for a week to contact them.

I've tried everything:

Ideas?

I would be patient with them because of the COVID. They're light signals. No emergency.

COVID-19 RESPONSE


As you are probably aware (unless you love your taco so much that you've spent the last couple months living in it) the COVID-19 pandemic has been affecting every aspect of normal life, more significantly in a few states including our own, California.

The safety of ourselves, our customers and our families is the most important consideration and in order to keep them safe we are adopting a few safety measures as outlined below:

1. Our online store continues to be operational but in order to minimize exposure of our products and team members, we will ONLY ship once a week, early Friday morning. All orders placed on Friday will ship the following Friday.
2. Our physical store was set to open at the end of this month, we have postponed that until further notice.
3. Local pick up and installation of any of our products has also been suspended until further notice, unless special arrangements have been made.
4. Everyone in our team and our family is healthy and taking this pandemic very seriously, our products are only handled by two people, and if anyone in our circle became I'll our shipments will stop completely. We do not want to put anyone at risk.

As with every business and every single vendor here on TW, Covid has wreaked havoc on business as usual. This doesn't mean you should let your money disappear and forget about it. But there are a lot more obstacles and hiccups along the way that can require some patience and understanding from both sides.

All is good I know Cali is getting the hard end of the stick. Just a difference between no contact and auto-reply.

 

This is a good point. If we're not patient with our specialty vendors during this time, we might lose some and that would be a detriment to the entire Tacoma aftermarket community.

Good enough reason for me Just wondering is all...

 

I've been waiting for a grill I ordered last Monday. Emailed on Friday just asking for ETA, no reply. On Saturday I finally received a shipping label notification but as of today the package still hasn't been recieved by UPS. Trying to be patient but it's a lot of money to have tied up in the abyss.

I hope it finally ships today....

 

I’ve been trying to reach them for three weeks with no response. I’ve tried messaging on TW, messaging on their site and email. I have yet to call though. The strange thing is that items on their site are getting updated weekly.

 

They did get back to me and shipped a replacement item.

 

Seems like he could hire a 15 y/o to try to run the comms for him and more than make up for the cost with improved customer service and up sell opportunities.

While I fully understand the difficult situation, it’s 100% safe to reply to electronic communications and taking care of customers is critical for any small business success.

The rare posts I see from him are excellent and seem to promote this level of care and concern. They are just too infrequent and typically a response to a long delay.

How much money is he missing out on? It could be significant.

With all that said, I’m not a small business owner and I know nothing of the risks and headache and endless work so I will shut up now. And I do genuinely wish everyone the best. Just seems like the solution here is obvious.

 

I received shipment on some turn signals from Taco Garage a couple weeks ago, no problem. I also placed an order for the DMM on Jul28th and its out for delivery today. For me everything has been as expected, but I also havent needed to contact anyone for anything.

 

My grill took a little while to ship, but it arrived well packaged and in one piece.

 

How did your garnish look and was it aftermarket or OEM? Mine finally got here yesterday (two weeks from ordering to doorstep) and I installed it. Once installed I took the protective film off the garnish and was disappointed with the quality. Over the entire garnish it looks like someone tried to maybe clean it with windex or something as there are streaks over pretty much the whole garnish as well as obvious scratches and scuffs. I'm not sure if taco garage noticed this or not based on the protective film being on there, I'm not sure if they are putting that on or just getting it like that from their suppliers, either way I'm disappointed being these are advertised as "the best pro grill on the market" with quality guaranteed. I havent had a chance to drive it yet to make sure it is working properly.

 

I think the garnish was aftermarket, it looked fine and has been working fine.
I am totally satisfied with the grill, it looks great.
