I was more puckered when he was unbolting the skid plate! And pulled the tire out from underneath! The Jack was reset by then but it was a icky feeling!

 

I know we're getting off topic, but one of these will make life easier next time. No need to drop the skid. It's basically an impromptu slide hammer.

Yep, just loop it around the inner CV joint like a lasso, and a 3lb hammer in the other side. Pops right out.
