    Morning TW!

I’m looking at upgrading my LCA’s, the bearings are seized, or close to it.
What are some good options for new LCA’s or would I be better off replacing the bearings.

on a related note, my UCA are going to get replaced too. Who here has been running JBA’s, Dirt King or Camburgh? What are your thoughts on what you have

I just seen that your on the east coast. Eh, shipping might be spendy. Was on them for a year, so roughly 10K miles. Bushings and uniballs both in good shape. No gouging or scratches from rocks. Mall crawler miles.

My thought is that for the price vs time involved changing out the ball joint and bushings, OEM LCA's are worth purchasing new. The aftermarket stuff is fancy, and I even thought about it for a while, but I'm still not convinced it's worth 8x the cost of oem.

Digging through the forums I found a few posts of OEM or Moog installs.
    What’s everyone’s take on Moog

From what I’ve read, Moog’s quality haven’t been what they were before. People have replaced the OEM balljoints with Moog and the results were more misses than hits. Moog LCA replacements seem to have been a better option than that.

And did you mean balljoints or bushings?

Rebuilt OEM is a great route if you don't want to fork up the cash for LSK's or TC stock length lowers.

    ~$150 for Whiteline polyurethane bushings
<$80 for balljoints (Moog, AC Delco, etc).

I was going to get complete LCA’s rather than rebuild them right now.

this is my point...for only 30 more dollars, you can get brand new oem LCAs and no need to spend hours to remove/replace the bushings and ball joints.

scratch that. I was thinking that’s per side. Either way. I’d still spend 500 for all new oem on both sides vs replacing bushings/ball joints for 250.

I have Dirt King uppers and lowers. They've been great so far. I didn't want to go long travel at the time because I didn't want to replace axles at the time or lose my sway bar. I have to say I still look at long travel kits and may go that route one day. IMG_20190118_102059184.jpg
