EDIT 04 Aug 2020: I just received, and checked- PAC's APH-TY04 does fit for this purpose.

As the title says, I've got a 2020 Limited with JBL. I've been doing all my planning, but I cannot find any sort of wiring harness that would save me from having to cut into the factory wiring after the amplifier. I'm going to be adding an LOC, then amplifying past that, and this is the one thing I'm hung up on.

    Does such a thing exist?

In the same boat and would also like to know! JBL premium stereo sure doesn't sound all that.

It's sounding like this isn't going to be a likely score.

From this post, thankfully, we've got what each of the wires are.

I don't know how it slipped my mind until now, but the stock JBL subwoofer having two voice coils (and therefore two channels in the harness) just adds another question to the process.

Should I be doing anything other than just ignoring one of these pairs of wires? It's my understanding that DVC subs must have the exact same signal going to both voice coils, or you very quickly shred the sub. From my understanding, by leaving one set of wires out, you'd be losing half the power, but with this just providing a signal to a line output converter, it shouldn't really make any difference. Am I wrong?

I THINK the PAC harness for the 2018 Tacoma with JBL works, but I don’t have a 2020 to verify.
    APH-TY04
I would call PAC and ask if they know if it will work with the 2020

Maybe this is a different connection than the TY12 from PAC, but this poster said that it didn't work for them. If that's not the case, I'd love to be proved wrong!

    It is a different connection
The AmpPro goes behind the radio
The part I mentioned goes back at the amp, which is exactly what you were looking for I believe.
But again, I do not know if it works on the 2020. They love using the same JBL stuff for several years at a time.

Ooh, you might be right. Looking closer (after looking for third-party photos, at least!) at the harness, this does indeed look like it might be the thing! I'm going to give it another look when I get a couple more minutes, and if it looks good I'll bite the bullet and make a purchase.

2016 thru 2019 Tacomas were Entune 2. 2020's are Entune 3. The connectors are different on the Entune 3 head units.

This harness doesn’t go behind the radio, it goes at the amp

Thanks again for responding. I didn't notice when you first spoke up, but I've been reading a *ton* of your comments on other threads, and I'm happy you're a contributor here. Very insightful, and definitely appreciated. I'm going to go for an order, as those harnesses look dead-on. If it doesn't fit, it can't be worse than any of a dozen things I've ordered whilst drinking :)

The harness just came in, and fits as it should. I'm gonna go and edit the post to reflect that the APH-TY04 does indeed work. Thanks again.

Hi guys, I'm new here and coming from the 4runner forums. I have a 2020 TRDP 4runner and I believe it is the same JBL premium system as the 2020 TAC limited. Question what is an LOC?

I plan on upgrading my speakers (dash and front doors) and possibly my rear. Will be keeping the head unit of course but I need to do external amplification. Sounds like PAC's APH-TY04 will meet my requirements. This connector harness goes to the aftermarket amplifier and then connects to the HU? The bare wires would go to the Amplifier?

The JBL system may be the same, but I wouldn’t get my hopes up. I don’t know for sure.

    a LOC is a line-output-converter
Basically a high-to-low converter. Takes higher voltage speaker signal and drops it to lower voltage RCA signal

the “correct” way to add amps is to get the AmpPro AND this harness.
The AmpPro gives you front/rear/sub pre-outs like an aftermarket radio would have.
You run RCA cables from that device to your new amp.
Then the harness lets you use the factory wiring from your new amp to the speakers without having to run new wiring all through the truck

It is almost certainly simpler to go with Destin's recommendation, and I would definitely defer to his expertise. For me, though, I had at least half of this stuff already around, so I wanted to make use of it. Bear with me, as I'm not the best at explaining what's going on in my head! For me, what I'm planning on doing is:

Keeping OEM head unit and amplifier
Removing JBL subwoofer and it's enclosure, replacing it with a panel to install most of the new gear, as well as the stock JBL amp, to keep the factory look behind the seats.

Using the male portions of the APH-TY04 to go from the JBL amplifier, into my Line Output Converter. The bare ends of the TY04's harnesses go into the speaker-level inputs of the LOC.
LOC connects via RCA to 6-channel amplifier, which feeds the dash and door speakers
LOC will be summing all four input pairs to provide full-range to the front door 6x9s. I'll probably cut some of the highest and lowest signals at the amplifier, but that's TBD.
LOC will pass through the signals to the dash and rear door speakers, which again may be further cut off at the amplifier.
LOC also sends signal to the subwoofer amplifier, which powers a new sub. The new sub enclosure should be pretty unique. I'm planning on removing the bottom half of the seat directly behind the driver, and replacing it with some sort of L-shaped box. The subwoofer(s) I have for the project are far too large to even consider putting behind the seat(I have two, but almost certainly only using one unless I really lose my mind, old-ish Kicker CVX 12" subs), so I felt like this will be the snazziest looking way of going about it.

I'm trying to amass all the bits I'll need to do as much of the install as I can next week, as I've got time off from work. Damned delays through Amazon aren't helping, though.

Yeah when you have a LOC that can do 6-8 channel summing, that costs nearly what the AmpPro would. Plus the almost certain need for a DSP. When you already own a piece of expensive hardware, you might as well use it. But if you’re starting fresh, get the AmpPro
