Posted this in the aviation thread. Thought you guys might enjoy seeing how I used my old pit bull stand:

Back in January I CAD’d up these brackets for my C120, had them machined from steel. Then I adapted an old pit bull motorcycle stand to lift the tire off the ground. Works great for pulling the wheel off to service tires or wheel bearings. I’d like to weld up a more compact stand that I can’t take with me in the plane in case of a flat.

    The bracket:

it really sucks. But it looks to be only cosmetic. Still probably at least a thousand in new parts. Italian plastic costs more than japanese o_O

    Very cool.

Speaking of Pitbull I want to get the trailer restraint system they make

Do it, exhaust is pretty much a required mod for a motorbike:boink:

I went with cheaper stands as well...below are the 3 I have been using for years.

I know Pitbull is top notch but always thought this was funny - people will put their 4,000lb+ truck on $10 jack stands but spend $400 on stands for their 400lb motorcycle lol

10 dollar jack stands lol.... my jack stands are not 10...:annoyed::ballchain:

and my pitbull was purchased used off craigslist for 100 bucks :lalala:

their stuff is a lot new, but used its not too bad... 90 bucks for a used pitt bull VS 80 bucks plus shipping for a new lesser quality one wouldnt make sense though david thats all... buying new is a diff story i get that part

Lol by no means am I hating on Pitbull or those who've bought their stuff. They are the best of the best and I would likely buy used as well.

I do have their expensive little wheel chock in my trailer, love that it's quick release
