Hi, I did the same thing with the clip on mirror. Well my wife got out of the truck to go into a store, left the visor down. Came back got in, bumped her head. I am so thankful there was no damage ( she was fine too). Fortunately the clip on was over far enough that she didn't hit the clip or hard edge. Just a heads up ( pun intended) about the clip on. Am now investigating getting the oem lighted visor at least for the passenger side.

Was the install pretty easy? And where did you get the radio?

plasti dip emblems, TRD off road wheels, pro clips cell phone mount. 20 percent tint.
Install was easy. Bought the radio from a forum member here. Bought the radio bezel from a junk yard to fit the bigger screen. Be careful though because this radio was damaged and the member didnt disclose all the damage. But since i got it for cheaper price i just kept it.

thinking of going from 16” stock with 245/75/16 to TRD pro wheels with 265/70/17. About and once bigger on height and width, but weight maybe similar going from steel to aluminum.

Is that too big of a jump up? Would pro wheels rub? or impact performance much? I’ve got the 2020 2.7 SR5 6 lug.

    Would appreciate the advice. Thanks

All stock, no lift. I did a bunch of research that concluded I should be fine with the stock suspension and 255/75/17 tire. But with these trucks it seems like everyone is a bit different lol so we will see. No rubbing or issues on the street yet.

did you reuse TPM sensors or did the new set come with their own. Always wondered if I could reuse from stock on new set up, or if new wheels have to have garage program again.

I did not reuse the sensors. I plan to run the stock wheels with winter tires so I just left TPMS. I did buy new TPMS sensors from Discount Tire for the new wheels. $60/tire includes the new sensor and programming. I'm not sure how much they charge for programming if you bring your own sensors, but $30-45/sensor was what I was seeing online and figured $60 for everything wasn't too bad. You can always just forget about TPMS but to me it's a new truck, computers and sensors are part of it hate it or not and I didn't want the dash light. I also like being able to look at my tire pressures anytime on the iphone app.

The place I took my wheels to rotated TPMS 180°. Be mindful of that the next time you have to do anything to the tires. The TPMS will have to be dropped prior to unmounting. If not you risk damaging the sensor.

Ordered some plasticolor mud flaps. I'll be interested to see what they look like. The majority of what I've been seeing has the mountain scene embossed on the flaps. I wasn't opposed to the mountain scene, but I wanted something plain. I wound up ordering a "plain w/o logo" set. 9x15 should do me ok after making a rough cardboard template. I'm planning on mounting them like curtains-- high and wide. Hopefully it helps keep stones/crap off my black paint. The negative offset and bigger tires are effective in plastering my rocker panels/fenders with anything that's on the road. Leaves, sand, gum, and crud have all moved from the road to the side of my truck, so as much as I dislike the aesthetics of flaps, they have to be put on for my day to day. Gonna try and mount em in a way that provides protection without looking horrible.

    Pics to follow

Plenty of examples on TW with that combination, I don’t think it will start rubbing until 285.

Performance and mpg may take a tiny hit but trade off is well worth imo.

Looking at a utility package 2020 SR tacoma (4x4) for 25,500 out the door right now.

Are the utility 2020 SR's pre-wired for fogs and intermittent wipers?

Doubtful on the fogs, there is no prewire on the intermittent, you just swap out the stalk. If you don't have to have factory , you can add fogs with a switch on the left side of the dash for about 50 bucks and a couple hours of labor. There is a knockout for the switch so it looks good.

My non-utility 2020 was pre-wired. Still have to buy a harness, relay and a few other bits though.

Added mud flaps. Had to do a good deal of trimming these to eliminate rubbing with negative offset wheels. I had to massage the fender liners in a few areas to eliminate rubbing in reverse when I got my wheels and tires, so I knew adding mud flaps was gonna require some cutting. I wound up cutting quite a bit. Not the greatest craftsmanship, but you get the idea.

Mudflaps on my 02 rubbed for years -- I don't want to listen to that in a new truck. The setup isnt ideal, and I don't know how much protection it will provide, but something has to be better than nothing. Well see how these hold up.

They dont look hacked up from this angle.

@strengthordie and @skierd what block heaters do you have installed? I need to add mine before winter.

I have a freeze plug type as well as an oil pan heater. Dealer said that with the 0w20 oil, just the oil pan heater would be fine, that’s bs. I thought long and hard about an in-line heater pump just because of the circulation it would provide, but I would’ve had to cut and splice a radiator hose and the life expectancy on those pumps isn’t great from what I’ve been told.

Agree, my T100 has freeze plug, oil pan, and tranny pan. You must have the 2.7L then?

I have a pan heater, battery pad (that I will replace with a trickle charger when I get an AGM battery after my OE battery goes), and freeze plug type. Not sure the make, Kendall in Fairbanks did the install when I bought the truck.

Pearson Auto does good work too and should be cheaper than the dealers if you’re in Fairbanks. They also do full synthetic oil changes for $39.95 and did my alignment after installing my lift. Great shop, fair prices, and good people.
