Crazy you mentioned GoPro, as I had asked the wife if she thought we needed one for an upcoming family vacation. She has a nice professional camera (Cannon or Nikon, can’t remember) that she plans on bringing with us. Nevertheless, I definitely wouldn’t run a GoPro as a dash cam for a few reasons, but theft is a big reason for sure

Exactly... action cams are a prime target and aren't really designed for that kind of rolling recording. Really they're just super overkill because you don't need 4k@120fps for a dash cam - in my experience 4k@30 is fine or even my 1080@60 has no issues. The quality of the camera software and sensor have more to do with the image quality than anything.

I would be happy to take it off your hands. I'll pm you tomorrow see if it's still available and when it would be convenient for my to pick it up. Thanks

Much thanks for that. Narrowed it down to the Rexing V1Pro, Blackvue 750 or 900, or the Owlcam. I like that there is a GoPro mount available for the Rexing, and it has a great price point compared to the other two.

This hands down, was the single most excruciating header install I've ever had. But damn it sounds wicked at WOT!

Eff that noise! Hell, I thought an LS3 cam swap was a PITA until this "simple" header install.

It was not fun. Everything was blind. And to top it off, they were Kook's and came with those ARP 12-point locking bolts. There were c-clips flying all over the place.

Did the lake road climb to flagpole in torrential downpours and thunderstorms. Was fun!
