how much lift should i get out of the ome884 w/their 140 strut? mines an access cab. also what else do i need? i know most coilover kits give you sway bar mount spacer block, diff drops, etc. do i need any of this stuff or is just the spring/strut enough?

ps - im not too concerned if i dont get the full 3" w/the 884's. i just want truck to look level after the rear tsb is done. id rather do it once and not go the spacer or adjustable bilstein route.

    feed me advice.:D

The truck might be a little front high, but it should settle in to be level. The OME 884's should give close to 3", and may settle to 2.5". You should get an OME shim for the driver side to account for extra weight on that side of the truck. Other than that, Thats all you need! :)

so chris you didn't use spacer blocks for your sway bar...is it b/c coilovers are wider overall and tend to hit the bar during articulation? also, i noticed you have a prerunner which accounts for no diff drop...do you recommend it?

I say NO diff drop first. THEN, see if you need it. Its a 10 min. Install, and many people are fine without it. With the spacer blocks for the sway bar, It seems to depend on the coilover. I have many friends with coilovers, and some have the spacers, some dont. The ones who do have had the springs hit. I didnt use the spacers for the swaybar and have decent clearance. I havent hit the springs yet, and Im pretty sure I have landed hard enough to bottom out the front end. :D The set up you mentioned, plus the shim for the driver side, should do you good. You may want to consider replacement Upper Control Arms, but that goes for any lift.

i was thinking about getting the tc uca's, but will it be that hard to fix the alignment given that these springs may only give me around 2.5" inches of lift all said and done? how close can you get w/the alignment wo/aftermarket ucas?
